Well -- I like to see my profession as an architect as the act of 'carving spaces.' We can design any type of building -- houses, offices, museums, etc. You can be good at drawing, but today we do everything on computers so all you really need is to be creative. If you work for a large firm after several years you might make good money. If you have your own firm it might be a bit more difficult, as you will depend on an ongoing stream of clients to generate revenue. On the other hand, this might be the case with every profession, isn't it? So take a look at what 'makes your heart beat faster' -- what are you passionate about in your life? As DRE mentioned on the answer before, it is an overrated profession, so it looks very glamorous looking from the outside. But as we all know, no matter how much you love what you do, sometimes it can be pretty boring... Hope this helps!

well an architect is someone who designs buildings. there is a common misconception from the outside world that architects make a lot of money. this is completely false. it is one of the hardest working and lowest paying professions. please don't pick a career just because your mom wants you to. if you want to make a lot of money, look into business and finance.
