check out http://www.fractureme.com. you can upload any picture you want, and they print them directly on glass frames. it’s great way to give personal and customizable gifts, plus they are inexpensive and they save you from having to make multiple trips to the printing and framing store. i have used them many times, mostly to display photos and art in my home, and i highly recommend.

  3. Thomas Kinkaid is a living American artist who paints scenes of all kinds of villages and little towns (some of them incorporate working tiny lights)– including winter scenes. Some ppl get these paintings as "investments" but you might just like to have them around at Christmas time. Christmas village train sets (sold by any hobby shop or online that sells model railroad accessories) are nice too. Some come as a ready made set; many are "built your own" from kits. IMHO, the Christmas tree is the most important part of Christmas decorating.

  4. I like to shop at Bronners.com . They have all kinds of christmas stuff and with your purchase they send their Christmas ornament as a gift.

  7. I have been collecting Native American items for Christmas decorations. Whatever I find that is unique and different, I use it for the holidays. It is just a suggestion but you can find many items online representing different heritages if you would like to go that route.

Oh, that’s no fun. If you’re going to go non-traditional, all the fun is in coming up with ideas and creating masterpieces on your own!

    My two cents…
